Regardless, this is such an anti-consumer situation. Maybe so EA can gain more revenue by forcing Mac users to buy it through their own launcher, maybe it's an oversight (probably not since The Sims 3 has the same issue and was never fixed), or maybe it's just plain laziness. I don't know why the game is exclusive to Windows on Steam.
The sims 4 mac version mod#
You see, the Mod Manager is a quality of life, fully developed software that helps you organize all The Sims 4 files. If you ask why, then you’re on the right track to make your life a lot easier. CPU: 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000+ or equivalent (For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 or equivalent) RAM: At least 4 GB RAM. As we all know, the Mac version of The Sims 4 is built as a native OS X application - and because of that, The Sims 4 actually makes use of some awesome OS. Compounding this frustration is that I can't even download the Origin version of the game which I owned BEFORE buying the Steam version (albeit all my DLC is from Steam). What's even more frustrating is that this version, as far as I can tell, is an exact one to one version as the Origin version everything acts exactly the same across both, save that you have to go through one less step on the Origin version. Well, after downloading Steam, I realized that the game was not playable on Mac. All you need to do is check out our ‘Requirements for The Sims 4 Mac' section below to find out. The requirements are not very steep so even older Macs can handle this game without much effort. I recognized that The Sims is a pretty big franchise on Mac, especially on The Sims 4. Yes, you can play the Sims 4 on a Mac if you meet the requirements.

I mainly play on PC, but I recently bought a Mac to start learning iOS development for school. Okay, this is just ridiculous and makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
